In 2007, immediately following Hurricane Katrina I rediscovered the beaches of Waveland, Mississippi. I started producing several small festivals near the beach. The serenity and unhurried, welcoming of the longtime Wavelanders planted a seed in my head: I needed to find a way to build a getaway here...maybe even a fulltime home for my eventual family.
Over the last decade or so, I got married, purchased several lots near the beach and had three sons. Life kept me very busy but we could never find the time to get started on a beach house.
Finally in December 2021 we drew up plans and pulled the trigger with Jason Thornhill of Thornhill Construction. We broke ground in February of 2022 and we are excited for the stories and memories we will make here.
I'm probably a lousy blogger, this is just my personal take on life at the beach.
